Role Description

The Hamwic Education Trust Board is expanding and is now looking to recruit 4 forward thinking and dynamic non-executive directors to improve the life chances of 11,000 pupils and help support the development of 1,600 staff.

Previous experience as a non-executive director is not essential. We are looking for applicants from a wide variety of backgrounds and with a diversity of experience.

We are looking to recruit a non-executive director who can support us strategically to achieve the following:

• Challenge traditional thinking and ways of working
• Drive for excellence across the Trust in all that we do

The Hamwic Education Trust is a multi-academy Trust with 31 schools along the South Coast. The Trust Board are responsible for the strategic oversight of the Trust and oversee the educational outcomes and standards, safeguarding, finance, risk and audit and HR. The Board meets 5 times per year and each sub-committee between 3-6 times a year either at the Trust Head Office in Nursling, Southampton or virtually.
