Citizens Advice South Lincolnshire (CASL) is seeking new trustees to secure its Board’s future succession. We are particularly interested in recruiting new trustees to take on the roles of Chair and Treasurer.

The Chair leads Board meetings, provides support and supervision for the Chief Officer and represents CASL to our stakeholders. The Treasurer guides and advises the Board on financial matters, including CASL’s budget and annual accounts. We will provide full induction and a supported handover.

We are also seeking new trustees with experience and skills in risk management, or in fundraising and business development.

These are unpaid roles, offering Board experience and outstanding job satisfaction. Trustees are also non-executive directors of CASL. We are equally interested in talking to candidates with long-term, wide-ranging experience and to those with current knowledge in specialist areas.

The minimum time commitment is five Board meetings and five committee meetings each year. Most trustees also take on an additional leadership role within CASL. The expectation is that trustees will serve at least two years.

CASL performs well in the current challenging environment, with sound governance and strong finances. It is one of over 250 local charities that make up the national Citizens Advice network, giving advice to those in need, and lobbying government to put right injustices. It operates across a large region from Spalding to Stamford, Grantham, Bourne and Market Deeping.

We welcome and encourage job applications from people of all backgrounds. We particularly encourage applications from the eastern European and black and ethnic minority communities, who are currently under-represented within CASL (at Board level).
