The Non Executive Director will be required between 1 and 2 days per month. The position has arisen as the previous NED has retired. The organisation wishes to attract a candidate with diverse accountancy, financial management and audit experience capable of providing a range of experiences and skills.

The NED will be a fully contributing member of the board and of the audit risk and compliance committee. They will help provide sound financial stewardship inline with regulatory requirements. Equally important will be the wide ranging commercial contribution to the continued growth and financial health of the organisation.

Profile

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with a financial services background. Probably ACA or ACCA qualified, it is likely that they will be trained in an audit/practice environment. Individuals are required with demonstrable evidence of strong P&L and balance sheet management experience and are likely to have held Finance Director post's. Candidates must also be able contribute to the wider management of the organisation and be capable of constructively challenging the status quo. Likewise the desire to develop their own skill base outside of their areas of specialism is desirable. Candidates without Non-Executive Director experience who wish to pursue an NED career will be considered as will those from a purely audit experience.
