Vacancy Type: Trustee
Deadline: 3rd August 2018
Region: Yorkshire and Humber
We offer information, advice and guidance on all aspects of volunteering, both for volunteers (from the age of 16) and Organisations who recruit and work with volunteers. We work with over 10,000 local people each year and help over 600 community groups to engage volunteers. We are an exemplar in our work being one of only two Volunteer Centres in England to achieve Community Beacon status from our national body NCVO, who also externally accredit us.
Bradford Volunteer Centre is a charity that is supported and guided in its work by a board of trustees.
The board consists of people who are passionate about volunteering, the difference it can play in Bradford and helping the charity to achieve its aims. Trustees have legal responsibility for the overall management and decision-making in a charity.
Board members tend to have some professional expertise, such as finance, HR etc. Meetings are quarterly , after 5pm, in Bradford city centre. Extra occasional meetings and events are arranged.
