This will see an increasing focus on collaboration with businesses, schools, colleges, universities and other public bodies for the benefit of young people, the workforce and Scotland's business base. It will see further development of customer centred services which combine the work of an expert workforce operating in all parts of Scotland with world leading web-based services. And it will see on-going operational delivery of high level Government commitments on Scotland's successful and developing apprenticeship programme and national careers service.

The chair will work on behalf of Ministers to ensure that SDS remains a high performing public body delivering value for money within Scotland's evolving Enterprise and Skills system.
