Non-executive Director - Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust
The Trust is looking for an individual with senior leadership experience and a passion for improvement. Ideally the successful candidate will have a sound understanding of partnership working.
The Dudley Group is the main provider of hospital and adult community services to the populations of Dudley, significant parts of the Sandwell borough and smaller, but growing, communities in South Staffordshire and Wyre Forest.
We provide a wide range of medical, surgical and rehabilitation services to a population of around 450,000 people from three hospital sites at Russells Hall Hospital, Guest Outpatient Centre in Dudley and Corbett Outpatient Centre in Stourbridge. We provide the full range of secondary services and some specialist services for the wider populations of the Black Country and West Midlands region. We also provide the full range of community services through our Medicine and Integrated Care Division.
At this critical stage in their development, the Trust are seeking a talented and highly motivated Non-executive Director to join the Board who has worked at a senior leadership level in a large, complex organisation, able to make an invaluable contribution to the strategic direction and future success of Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust. Working closely with the Board, you will have a strong commitment to the principles of the NHS and provide strategic direction, governance, leadership and challenge at the Board of Directors.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
We are seeking a person with a passion for improvement and either
- a sound business background with financial knowledge and skills; and / or
- a track record of customer / client relations
- Capable of chairing a committee,
- an understanding of
- the needs of our local patient community,
- the roles and responsibilities of the Council of Governors,
- statutory and regulatory requirements, risk management and board assurance processes.
Ideally you should live within the Dudley or its surrounding area or have a strong association with Dudley through work, family etc..
