What is NEDLink?
NEDLink is a new NHS Confederation service that can help match non-executive directors (NEDs) working in the NHS with organisations from across the health and social care sector and wider natio
nal and international healthcare industry, who are seeking NEDs with NHS skills and experience.
How does it work?
NEDs looking for new health-related opportunities can become a member of and post their professional profile on NEDLink, the NHS Confederation-run group on ‘LinkedIn.
Organisations that have a new NED opportunity or are seeking input from NEDs with NHS skills and experience can post opportunities on NEDLink for free.
NEDs that are interested in the posting can contact the organisation direct to find out more.
The postings might include new NED roles created by the current health reforms, participation on inquiry panels, or governance advice to healthcare organisations both at home and potentially abroad.

Over 200 NEDs have already expressed an interest in becoming a member of NEDLink, providing organisations with a flexible pool of individuals who can support new projects and initiatives.
Any organisation that wishes to seek NEDs with NHS skills and experience can use the NEDLink service, but all opportunities posted by organisations must be consistent with the NHS Confederation’smission and values.

The role of the NHS Confederation
The NHS Confederation’s ability to bring together all parts of the NHS makes us well-placed to help match NEDs with national health-related roles and opportunities.
Our links to the devolved countries, with offices in Wales and Northern Ireland as well as our links to Europe through our NHS European Office, mean that we can also provide access to opportunities from outside of the UK and across Europe.
The NHS Confederation is pleased to be able to facilitate the exchange of opportunities but cannot guarantee the number or type of postings submitted by external organisations.
The NHS Confederation is running this service with the expectation that all organisations that commission or employ the services of NEDs via NEDLink will follow their own recruitment policies and procedures.
